Morton Miller in top form

Following the disappointing second-half collapse against Queen of the South, Morton fans were hopeful of a swift response in their first away fixture last Saturday.

Despite a resilient performance by Alloa, the afternoon belonged to the veteran Chris Miller who bagged his first and second goals for Morton in his second stint with the club. The fans and management alike were delighted with the contribution of the veteran and, along with fellow midfielder Michael Tidser, the pair have started the campaign in scintillating form.

The victory leaves the Ton in second place after two games, but expectations are still being reserved until tougher encounters have been faced.
