‘Dream’ has come true’ for Davidson

-

Murray Davidson recalled an “incredible” near decade at St Johnstone as he prepares to make his 300th appearance against Queen of the South tomorrow.

The 30-year-old midfielder was signed by then manager Derek Mcinnes from Livingston in 2009 after the Perth club had secured promotion to the Ladbrokes Premiership.

Ahead of the possible landmark occasion in the Betfred Cup tie at Palmerston Park, Davidson said: “It’s something I’m really proud of. To have been able to play so many games for this club has been absolutely fantastic.

“When Del first signed me in 2009, I could never have dreamed to have been here so long. Not only that but to have achieved what I’ve been able to achieve at the club during this time has been incredible.

“From winning the Scottish Cup and enjoying some unbelievable European nights, to being capped by my country – it’s been a dream come true.”
