Care crisis

-

Audits of the Scottish Government’s flagship plan to merge health and social care have flagged up red alerts including budget overspends, overpriced care and a lack of district nurses putting safety at risk.

We have two elderly lady friends who are currently bed-blocking because a home care package cannot be found to enable them to get home. Yet we have 150, 000 Scots who have never, ever worked.

Where there is a change of Scottish minister, do they also change the department spokesperson? Perhaps they all just use the same statement manual?

Mcmillan Brown

You’re probably right, but why are these spokespeople always anonymous?

Jomydo “The points raised included overpayment for services provided, the potential risk of fraud, inaccurate payments, overpriced care packages and financial decisions made without approved authority levels.” I think it’s very unfair of everyone to criticise the SNP – they have been quite honest about things from the start... I mean, what part of ‘Indy Transcends All’ is not clear? about euthanasia to follow this one.

Joan Simpson vulnerable on the road. The asphalt roads in the UK were created for cyclists; motoring became more popular as roads improved (and, of course cars became more affordable). be avoided as far as possible. The road is where cyclists belong, and it’s the drivers of motorised vehicles who need to learn to accommodate cyclists and make the road a less hostile place for the less confident cyclist. Some wellplanned cycling facilities going to places where people actually want to go would be a big help too.

Paisley Cyclist Cyclists should not use pavements, which are for pedestrians only. Also, if you use a cycle on the roads you should have to have at least third party insurance and lights. Running a red light or similar road traffic infringements should attract penalties the same as those levied on other vehicles. Compulsory registration would be a good move too.

Gustav Gustavsson Scotland as they stepped up demands for a public vote on the final Brexit deal.

Our democracy demands there be another vote... this time with the facts.

Pax Vobiscum

It will be a No Deal. The first of the 80 Brexit Notices of Intent will be published this week by the Tory government informing every section of society about the implications of crashing out of the European Union.

People that can’t handle living in a democracy should move to a country of their choice run on a different system. In a democracy you vote, and sometimes the result is what you voted for, and sometimes it is not.

old clothes and porridge

This is all very well, but if the vote changes nothing is there going to be a demand for another one?
