We’re not doomed!

With regard to Brexit, as Fraser in Dad’s Army would say, “We’re doomed, doomed if we leave!” Well, actually no.

Remoaners are trying to terrify the population by suggesting that all kinds of horrendous things will happen if we leave in the hope that they can force another vote. Scare tactics that did not work when we had the first vote.

I think we will have a hard time for a few years as the Brussels bureaucrats punish us, but in the longer term we will be better off outside their undemocratic union. Even if we tried to get back in it would be under much worse terms.

Unless we get a decent deal we should not contribute one penny of the £40bn already agreed. UK negotiators need to hold their nerve and the EU may well blink first.
