Rettie & Co bolsters build-torent team to target key market

Asset manager Aghabala, who joins from Watsons Property Group, previously managed Berealty’s city block management portfolio in Chicago, Illinois, and brings extensive BTR experience from luxury to affordable housing. He said: “The BTR sector in Chicago opened my eyes to the substantial positive effect that BTR property can have on local communities and the market as a whole.”
● Nucleus, the adviser-built wrap, has recruited Sam Hampton-smith as head of product development to add to the platform’s technology capabilities. Hampton-smith has joined from Edinburgh-based cybersecurity firm Zonefox, where he was head of engineering and user experience. He will be responsible for leading the development team, managing regular software releases and upgrades, as well as handling the technical design and testing of new functions.

He brings over 25 years’ experience in the industry and will be responsible for overseeing project teams during both planning and operations. Lucas will also provide management oversight as required, working internationally and from the Aberdeen office. Furthermore, Euan Cadger and Alastair Mackinnon join the firm as drilling engineers and will work on a number of key international offshore projects.
● Enermech has appointed Ross Mchardy, an oil and gas asset specialist with more than 20 years’ experience at major operating companies, as European regional director. Mchardy will be responsible for all UK and Norwegian activities at the Aberdeen-headquartered integrated engineering services firm, which expects to double European turnover from £84 million to more than £170m over the next four years. He was previously responsible for safety performance and production delivery on TAQA Bratani’s Harding assets and held a wider strategic role which oversaw engineering and project delivery across Central North Sea assets.
