Grand day out: Edinburgh celebrates its cultural diversity at the Mela

D & F Bros Grand Indian Circus were among the acts appearing at Edinburgh Mela on Leith Links thsi weekend. Thousands of people enjoyed a colourful two days as the Capital celebrated its diverse cultural make-up in style. Music, lion and dragon dances and a fashion show all entertained the crowd, with food stalls keeping everyone from getting hungry. Foysol Choudhury, one of the Mela’s directors, said that there had been 10,000 people through the gates on Saturday and even more yesterday.
