#GORDONBROWN

The former Prime Minister has urged the Labour Party to adopt the internationallyagreed definition of antisemitism while speaking at the Jewish Labour Movement Conference in London.

@janemerrick23 wrote: “Gordon Brown on fire with this #JLM speech: ‘would you produce a document on sexism and sexual violence, produced by men without consulting women?’”

@Mlewislawyer added: “#Gordonbrown’s speech on #Antisemitism is stunningly good. It is one of the best political speeches of all time. ‘History is not just made by monsters but by bystanders’.”

@Joshuagarfield said:

“In one speech Gordon Brown has managed to show full solidarity with the Jewish people, commit to fighting antisemitism, demonstrate support for the IHRA definition, and heavily criticise the Israeli government and its illegal settlements. This is how you do it.”

@Terrisstevens1 added: “Gordon Brown should stay in retirement. He was a disastrous Prime Minister and as big a back stabber and plotter as Boris Johnson. He doesn’t understand that young people hate the Blair/brown era now and his speech today will probably recruit thousands to the Labour cause.”

#GLASGOWDERBY

Celtic ended Steven Gerrard’s unbroken run at Rangers with a 1-0 win at Parkhead, thanks to Olivier Ntcham’s second-half strike.

Rangers fan @ Leeanderson4 posted: “Why do we continue to try and defend for 90 mins against Celtic. Playing right into their strengths instead of pressing high and putting their defence under pressure.”

@Rangersloyal_ added: “Rangers weren’t good enough on the day. They have won the first battle but I believe we have more than enough to win the war this season.”

Former player Moussa Dembele @Mdembele_10 couldn’t resist taking a pop at Rangers: “As Usual only ONE team in Glasgow – @Celticfc Well done Bhoys!”

@Johnhartson10 added: “Celtic in Crisis !! Do me a favour.”

While @paddypower joked: “FULL TIME: Celtic 1 - 0 Rangers. A disappointing result, but a huge day out for a small club like Rangers.”
