‘Bomb threat’ sparks school evacuation

-

A secondary school in Glasgow has been evacuated after receiving an alleged bomb threat.

Police rushed to Rosshall Academy on Crookston Road at 8:05am yesterday after receiving reports of a suspicious package.

Officers searched the school, which had been cordoned off. Worried parents were told that the school had been evacuated and they had to pick up their children.

A text read: “Rosshall Acad. Unfortunately we have had to evacuate the school. Please make arrangements to have your child collected or for them to go home.” Fire engines, police, and police dogs were used at the school. Some witnesses at the scene reported bomb disposal units arriving.

Parents have taken to social media to ask the school for more information.
