Senior detective assigned to Salmond case
One of Scotland’s most senior detectives has been assigned to spearhead the inquiry into claims of sexual harassment made against Alex Salmond.
Det Chief Superintendent Lesley Boal, head of public protection for Scotland, has been put in place to lead the inquiry with unprecedented resources at her disposal, according to the Sunday Mail.
It is understood Lord Advocate James Wolffe has stepped away from the inquiry over fears that his involvement as a member of the government would compromise him.
