A new dawn

-

A new group to drum up support for Scottish independence is to be launched on St Andrew’s Day. Scottish Independence Convention convenor Elaine C Smith plans to launch the as-yetunnamed group with a fundraiser. The new organisation will be spun off from SIC to provide a “strategic vision” for a new Yes campaign, and offer a fact-checking service

Another group for Indy– who’s it aimed at this time, left-handed Seventh Day Adventists for Independence?

longshanksshortsocks If only these people could channel their energy, money and time into campaigning for a better Scotland and put pressure on the SNP Scottish Government to focus on reducing alcoholism, obesity, poverty and domestic abuse. Once they have done that, focus on ensuring our primary school pupils can read when they leave P7 and stop subsidising wealthy parents of children at university.

Mike Weir I wonder what sort of facts can be checked? Did Salmond say we’d all be richer because of oil? Did Salmond get legal advice on membership of the EU? Were we promised that the entire apparatus of government could be implemented for £200 million? What is the definition of “a frippery”? It could be fun.

Disc Less Yeah, cos no other politicians have ever told lies/made mistakes.

Pax Vobiscum I can’t recall who said this but I rather like it: “I think celebrities should basically shut their pie holes and do what they do best. Sing, tap dance, juggle balls and do all that kind of stuff.”
