Corbyn’s choice

-

It’s actually not all that significant. It gets headlines because it’s increasingly difficult to find new oil and gas in the UK sector of the North Sea and around Shetland and what there is is often expensive to extract.

Euan Gray Shetland should demand independence from the rest of Scotland and invest any profits made back into its own community!

Peter As seismic surveys revealed decades ago, there are more massive discoveries of oil and gas still to be made in the deep waters of the Orkney Basin and West of Shetland, which are now technogically accessible, and will make the UK Continental Shelf look like a puddle. The deep waters of the Minch and Firth of Clyde with their soft, almost sandy seabeds are ideal for oil and gas exploration and production, and conceal vast reserves of oil and gas.it isn’t the end of hydrocarbons around Scotland’s shores – it’s only the beginning!

Samuel Coldstream Pity they can’t harness all the gas in Holyrood.

Bog of Despair Labour is set to back a referendum on the terms of the UK’S exit from the EU, but only one that offers a ‘deal or no deal’ choice – not a chance to reverse Brexit.

Chequers is dead but there might be an alternative. Remain needs to be an option in this because now we see the implications and we should be able to reverse it. Just as we could once we’ve put an offer on a house and then discuss terms. No Deal and Chequers 2 needs to be there too, though, because the purpose of this vote is to decide what everyone wants of all the options.

Labour is a party that will say ANYTHING to try to get into power. Corbyn as leader is the equivalent of a blacksmith’s anvil as a swimming aid. You just know both will drag you under if you allow it.
