A group of SNP councillors have been accused of a “betrayal” of fishing communities after voting in favour of a vote on the Brexit deal.

Is anyone surprised? The SNP doesn’t do anything as they should, which is to help Scotland and its population; they only do things for their own narrow interests. There are some very serious words which describe people that work against their own country, and people that are not in the SNP know what they are; the others, too obsessed and ignorant .

paul castle Westminster betrayed Scottish fishermen when they sold the veto over fishing for the financial services in London. And with Brexit they will do the same again. Do not blame the SNP for something they have no control over. Only Westminster are allowed to negotiate fishing, the Scottish Government is not allowed at any meetings. Not only that, it is a Conservative peer who is in charge. So much for UK democracy.

While the fishermen bang on about the inequities of the EU fishing policy (which to this non-fisherman seems eminently sensible) the one vital statistic that should never be forgotten is that 80 per cent of the UK catch is sold where? Into the EU! Thus to gain access to that market (if the country is crazy enough to persist with this economic suicide) there is going to have to be a grandaddy of a quid pro quo. So if I were a fisherman (Scottish or elsewhere) I wouldn’t be counting my mussels and herring just yet...

Why should the interests of fishing communities take precedence over the interests of the country as a whole?

Oil is a Bonus

Another meaningless act of desperation. The fishermen will never forget or forgive them.

Icemodality Leave the EU would be damaging to Aberdeen, so let’s not do that... But Leave the UK, good and let’s do it... erm.
