Drink-fu­elled vi­o­lence leads to po­lice warn­ing

Al­co­hol-fu­elled vi­o­lence con­tin­ues to be a prob­lem in Falkirk, ac­cord­ing to a po­lice re­port sub­mit­ted to the lo­cal author­ity.

The doc­u­ment high­lights the town cen­tre’s vi­brant and busy night-time econ­omy with three night­clubs and 18 bars within a one­mile ra­dius that can lead to al­co­hol-re­lated dis­or­der.

Be­tween 2017 and this year there were 2,316 cases of vi­o­lent mis­con­duct recorded within the Falkirk area, where 736 of these in­ci­dents were in­flu­enced by al­co­hol. Falkirk po­lice have been ad­dress­ing the sale and sup­ply of drink to young peo­ple.
