Drink-fuelled violence leads to police warning
Alcohol-fuelled violence continues to be a problem in Falkirk, according to a police report submitted to the local authority.
The document highlights the town centre’s vibrant and busy night-time economy with three nightclubs and 18 bars within a onemile radius that can lead to alcohol-related disorder.
Between 2017 and this year there were 2,316 cases of violent misconduct recorded within the Falkirk area, where 736 of these incidents were influenced by alcohol. Falkirk police have been addressing the sale and supply of drink to young people.
