Driver banned for 10 years after killing cyclist
A motorist who killed a cyclist in Fife was spared prison and banned from driving for ten years.
David Gordon, 56, overtook when it was unsafe to do so and hit Gary Christie on his mountain bike.
Father-of-two Mr Christie, 38, was seriously injured and died in hospital two weeks later.
Gordon was found guilty last month of causing death by careless driving in Kirkcaldy on 1 November 2016.
Lord Menzies ruled yesterday at the High Court in Edinburgh Gordon would also do 300 hours unpaid work.
