Man charged after £600k heroin find
A man has been charged after police seized almost £600,000 worth of heroin during a search of a property in Edinburgh.
Officers acting on intelligence discovered 5.8kg of the drug at an address in Magdalene garden son thursday. Police said the heroin had a potential street value of £580,000.
They also seized £7,000 in cash from the property. A second home, in, Tranent, East Lothian, was searched, where £200 worth of cannabis was recovered.
