Stationary minds
Dundee Council mirrors Edinburgh Council in keeping its bus and train stations far apart (Hector Maclean, Letters, 9 November).
As advised over 20 years ago, Edinburgh had an ideal vacant location for the bus station at the east end of the Waverley site, but despite constant lip service by our politicians for integrated transport services, the council decided to build their new HQ there instead – so the old, disabled, parents with young children et al are forced to continue with the half-mile walk, often in wet and windy weather.
And Glasgow’s not miles better!
