Her Excellency Mrs. Valentina Marinčić was received in audience by The Queen today and presented the Letters of Recall of her predecesso­r and her own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from Bosnia and Herzegovin­a to the Court of St. James’s. Mr. Željko Jerkić was also received by Her Majesty. Her Excellency Mrs. Aleksandra Miovska was received in audience by The Queen and presented the Letters of Recall of her predecesso­r and her own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the Republic of Macedonia to the Court of St. James’s. Sir Simon Mcdonald (Permanent Under-secretary of State for Foreign and Commonweal­th Affairs) was present. The Queen, Colonel-inchief, Corps of Royal Engineers, received Lieutenant General Sir Mark Mans this afternoon upon relinquish­ing his appointmen­t as Chief Royal Engineer and Lieutenant General Tyrone Urch upon assuming the appointmen­t.

The Prince of Wales this morning attended a Service of Commemorat­ion at the Commonweal­th War Graves Commission Memorial in Abuja, Nigeria, and laid a wreath. His Royal Highness this afternoon attended a Meeting on rural livelihood­s, at the National Botanical Gardens, Abuja. The Prince of Wales afterwards attended a discussion on intercommu­nal violence, at the Residence of the British High Commission­er in Abuja.

His Royal Highness this evening arrived at Royal Air Force Brize Norton from Nigeria. Mr. Scott Furssedonn-wood, Mrs. Eva Williams, Professor Charles Deakin and Commander Iain Kearsley were in attendance. The Prince of Wales, Patron, the Battle of Britain Fighter Associatio­n, and The Duchess of Cornwall were represente­d by Air Chief Marshal Sir Stephen Dalton (formerly Chief of the Air Staff ) at the Memorial Service for Wing Commander Thomas Neil (Battle of Britain veteran) which was held at St. Clement Danes Church, Strand, London WC2, this morning.
