Celtic go top but lose Ajer to eye injury

Celtic’s ascent to the top of the league has come at a cost after manager Brendan Rodgers revealed Kris Ajer suffered a broken eye socket in yesterday’s 0-0 draw with Livingston.

The 20-year-old centre half was making his first start in the league since September but was injured in the second half after a clash of heads with Livingston skipper Craig Halkett. He is now set to undergo surgery and could be out until next
