Bain replaces Gordon for club, country

Scott Bain replaced Craig Gordon for the second time yesterday after being called up to the Scotland squad for the upcoming games with Albania and Israel, writes Alan Pattullo.

The Celtic goalkeeper deputised for Gordon earlier in the day and kept a clean sheet in the 0-0 draw with Livingston. Bain then took Gordon’s place in Alex Mcleish’s Scotland squad after the Celtic No 1 withdrew with a combination of hip and knee injuries
