Age of the train?

-

The reason for the fall in unemployment, as well as declining numbers for those in work, is because there has been a drop in those classed as “economically active”

– the size of the potential workforce – by 18,000... a drop in economically active... does this mean people moving from dole to sick payments ?

chockablock During the same period, 134,000 EU citizens left Britain.

Samuel Coldstream The number of train services being cancelled on Scotland’s railways has reached a new high amid more calls for services to be taken into public hands. “The issue will come under the spotlight at the Scottish Parliament tomorrow when Labour will bring a vote on the prospect of bringing trains back into public hands.” As far as I know that’s political speak for letting the SNP run it – not really a solution. If storms accounted for two thirds of the cancellations then it’s really a non-story.

Dunnomuch

It doesn’t help that the Scottish Government/ Transport Scotland are slashing services to and from Edinburgh on key commuter routes this winter. As of 10 December, there are no morning commuter services from Dunblane that will arrive in Edinburgh in time for people due to start at 9am.
