Heart of Midlothian Peter the great
Kilmarnock are a well-drilled, capable team with a simple and effective gameplan and we were never quite inventive enough to engineer a win. Failing to score for four games has cost us, and fans tend to look for scapegoats, be it the manager or particular players. Clearly, we miss Steven Naismith and are looking to compensate for his loss by trying to accommodate our best players. Peter Haring was outstanding on Saturday but our more creative players didn’t ever spark. The challenge is finding a system and formation with the resources we have available. It’s easy to say our preferred selections might have done better than the manager’s and his job in the international break is finding that successful blend.
