St Mirren It’s a knockout

Prior to the encounter away to Dundee, some dismissed it as potentially being one the worst games in the history of Scottish top-flight football – however, both sides whipped up a spectacle akin to that of an end-of-season relegation knockout tie. Dundee came away from the game feeling unlucky not to take all three points, as they created the best chances for large chunks of the 90. The manager will have taken great comfort in the sight of youngster Kyle Magennis performing for the full 90 minutes – the midfielder looked more like an accomplished player rather than a recent academy graduate. He is the sort of player Saints need in order to take the fight to Dundee for the rest of the season.
