Hospital worker called women using stolen data
A medical worker has been suspended from a Kilmarnock hospital following a data breach.
It is alleged the Crosshouse Hospital worker inappropriately accessed patient records.
The man, who has been stood down, has been accused of contacting some women using the information.
Police Scotland are investigating the claims and said inquiries remained at an early stage.
NHS Ayrshire and Arran have apologised to affected patients and launched a separate probe into the extent of the breach.
