Alloa Athletic Perfect day

With Morton firing five goals past Partick Thistle the previous week, I journeyed to Cappielow with a “best-case scenario” of a point in my head. However, it was a near-perfect away performance and result from us. Alloa frustrated the home team and crowd, who became restless following a blank opening hour. Growing in belief and looking dangerous on the counter, the three points were sealed with a couple of spot-kicks in the last quarter. Both penalties, admittedly, looked quite soft, but you accept any good fortune when battling away near the bottom of the league. This has led to a fun week in my office, with Alloa climbing above Partick Thistle in the table – my boss is a keen Thistle supporter.
