Charities scandal

-

There have been numerous reports recently about the obscene salaries paid to the directors of charities.

This leaves the public worried that their donations are going to the fat cats and not those most in need and too often there is a layer of “executives” creaming off these donations many from people who can only afford a modest donation.

All advertising for charities, whether in the press or on billboards, asking for money, and even the charity people on the streets and the “chuggers”, should be legally bound to declare and display the salary of the chief executive and top officials. The public can then decide which charity deserves support.
