Police ‘grotto’ for festive season

Edinburgh police officers will be working from a speciallymade “grotto” this Christmas as part of the winter campaign to keep the public safe.

Operation Winter City 2018 will see police resources deployed across the city, including a high-profile presence in St Andrew Square, open daily from 10am to 10:30pm.

Significant resources are being deployed for the major events through the festive season, including the Torchlight Procession and Hogmanay Street Party.
