Florsch fractures her spine in crash

Motorsport: Formula 3 driver Sophia Florsch sustained a spinal fracture but says she is “fine” following a horrific high-speed crash at the Macau Grand Prix.

The 17-year-old German’s Van Amersfoort Racing car lost control going into a bend before becoming airborne and crashing into fences. She later wrote on Twitter: “I am fine but will be going into surgery tomorrow morning.”
