Rennie resigned to departures as Jones is linked with Tigers

-

Glasgow coach Dave Rennie appears resigned to losing more of his star names in the summer, with Huw Jones the latest Warriors player to have been linked with a move to England.

Just a week after full-back Stuart Hogg agreed to join Exeter Chiefs next season, a report in England yesterday suggested that the 24-year-old centre, whose Glasgow contract expires in the summer, is close to agreeing a deal with Leicester Tigers. “It’s a big year next year,” Rennie said. “It’s a World Cup year and there are a lot of clubs in England and France with a fair bit of coin and it’s tempting.

“We’ve got to understand we can’t keep everyone, and if guys go, they go with our blessing. What ends up happening with Huw, pictured left, I guess we’ll know in the next couple of weeks.” Rennie, who also lost Finn Russell to Racing 92 in the summer, is himself out of contract at the end of the season.
