GB women blow lead

Great Britain women surrendered a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 with Japan in their third pool match at the FIH Champions Trophy in China, writes Craig Madden.

Strikes by Sophie Bray and Tessa Howard put GB, with Scots Amy Costello and Sarah Robertson in the starting line-up, two up in the first quarter. But Hazuki Hagai pulled one back by the interval and the same player levelled in the third quarter after a series of penalty corners.

GB are fourth in the table with two points and play world No 1 Netherlands tomorrow.
