Heart of Midlothian Future looks bright

International weekends for a lot of us seem to entail being proud of players who are selected and worrying about them coming through unscathed, especially when injuries have been such a major part of our season already.

With no action on the pitch we have had a chance to focus on the Hearts accounts, which suggest the club is thriving. Only six years ago it looked like we might be playing our last game so to be sitting with a redeveloped main stand, increased turnover and a healthy profit is hugely encouraging. Over £1 million a year in Foundationof hearts fans donations and some very generous benefactors have clearly helped, but the business model appears prudent and allied to player development augurs well for the future.
