St Mirren Saluting Samson
Craig Samson had not only one incredible spell with St Mirren but two – winning silverware on both occasions. In 2013, he played a vital role in leading Saints to their first major trophy in 26 years, the Scottish League Cup. After more than four years away from the club, he returned to excel between the sticks during vast parts of our championship-winning season last year. he was also undoubtedly Saints’ best player during an abysmal domestic run so far. His departure from the club into a lucrative coaching role with Jack Ross’ Sunderland has left a bitter taste in the mouth of some Saints fans. Most rightthinking supporters, however, have wished him further success in his career, and rightfully so.
