Hamilton Accies Hoping for an off day

It’s a big week ahead for Accies. After the visit of Celtic (a game that we’re likely to lose but will learn lessons from etc), the under 19s will be trying to overcome a 2-0 deficit against Danish “cracks” Midtjylland on Wednesday. A win in that game would be fantastic but, even if we’re not successful, this will still have been a marvellous experience for the youngsters.

Our Premiership survival is under threat as always and, while we’re not expected to gain anything on Saturday, there are still three points to fight for. Our fans deserve better after the lamentable performance at Perth and we can only hope that Martin Canning has used the break to establish our best XI and get them playing cohesively together. I just hope Celtic hate the pitch and have an off day. That could give us a chance.
