Motherwell Forget the rout

Scotland proved an ideal distraction – for once – for Motherwell fans with a stunning weekend win as we tried our best to forget our 7-1 humiliation at the hands of Rangers. Aberdeen are up next and, on form, pose another tough challenge. Then again, at the minute, who doesn’t?

We did the crucial business of beating St Mirren and Dundee to open a gap to the bottom, we must not let it collapse immediately.

Of course the match also brings back memories of the first of our cup finals last season. Things seemed so different then but that brilliant run was completely unexpected. A similar turnaround now seems equally unlikely – at least, however, that means it is not impossible!
