Foo Fighters join The Cure in Scottish return

Foo Fighters will play at a festival in Scotland next year.

The band are the second headliners to be unveiled for Glasgow Summer Sessions 2019.

They join The Cure, who are making a return to Scotland after 27 years.

Geoff Ellis, chief executive of organisers DF Concerts, said: “To welcome Foo Fighters to Bellahoust­on Park for the first time is so exciting for music fans all over Scotland, as they are, to this day, one of the best festival headliners in the world.

“With their outstandin­g back catalogue, this is bound to be an unmissable show.

“This announceme­nt, as well as the previous reveal that legendary band The Cure 0 Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl is returning to Scotland

will make their return to Scottish soil after 27 years truly cements Glasgow Summer Sessions as an integral part of the Scottish live music calendar for 2019.”

Foo Fighters will be ending a four-year absence from Scotland’s live scene when they take to the festival’s stage on Saturday, 17 August.
