Not very taxing…

Now that the majority of those who would be expected to pay an Edinburgh tax of, say, £1 per night have said they will still come here, we don’t really need the expense of consultation exercise.

I cannot help thinking that the reason “Holyrood” is reluctant can only be that it wasn’t her idea in first place. Let’s get on with it, but make sure the income isn’t snaffled away to central government and is spent on our city.

This should be a local decision.
