Mactaggart and Mickel Homes has launched two showhomes at its development in the picturesque village of Killearn between Stirling and Glasgow.

Buchanan Views offers 24 three to five-bedroomed homes on the western edge of the village, set alongside lots of green space near Killearn’s pretty square.

The properties have far-reaching views to the Campsie Fells.

House types under construction are from the developer’s design collection with high specifications throughout, including sanitaryware by Laufen, tiling by Porcelanosa, and provision for fibre-optic connections.

Both showhomes, an Inchcolm and a Miller house type, have been styled by Gerry Burke with stylish rural interiors.

A palette of earth tones, enlivened by mustard and aqua, are complemented by softly textured wall coverings and fabrics, to create a warm and inviting space.

Joanne Casey, director of Mactaggart and Mickel Homes, says: “Properties at Buchanan Views are already selling well, and we are confident that interest will be even higher once people see these spectacular showhomes.

“This exceptional location has an idyllic, elevated setting.”

Located off Station Road, and near the village green and local amenities, Buchanan Views is beside open countryside with Loch Lomond and the Campsie Fells are a short drive away.

The village of Killearn enjoys good transport links across the Central Belt, it is 15 miles north of Glasgow and 20 miles to Stirling.

It also has good amenities with local shops, post office, and eateries. There is also a health centre, veterinary clinic, and sports pitches.

Of the two showhomes, the fourbedroom Inchcolm with detached double garage is in a prime, elevated position. From the outside, it has the appearance of a dormer bungalow, while inside every room is spacious and full of light.

The lounge leads to a sunroom giving uninterrupted views of the Campsie Fells. There is a dining area and kitchen with breakfasting island.

Sliding doors from the sun room open to a garden which wraps around the west and north of the property.

One bedroom, with its own dressing room and ensuite shower room, is located on the ground floor, alongside a family bathroom.

Upstairs there are three more bedrooms, including a further ensuite as well as a second bathroom.

The Miller has an imaginative design with a pillar-box red front door and offers good accommodation making the most of an alternative layout.

The living room has a feature corner window and sliding double doors which lead to the dining room and kitchen, complete with breakfasting area.

Glass doors from the dining room to the garden offer excellent views and the ground floor has a cloakroom, utility room and integral garage.

Upstairs, all four bedrooms offer wardrobe space, with ensuites to the master bedroom and bedroom two. A dressing room adds a further touch of luxury to the master bedroom.

Killearn is a popular choice for families with its primary school, playgroup and nursery, while older children can attend the nearby Balfron High School.

Homes at Buchanan Views are available from £274,995.
