Lodging interest in the holiday homes market
Owning a holiday buy-to-let home in the UK currently offers tax advantages, as well as the possibility of generating a good income.
As such, they can be an appealing prospect to a business owner, someone approaching retirement, or an individual looking to invest a lump sum, as well as those who are simply looking for a second home for family breaks.
Silverwood at Errol in Perth and Kinross, a lodge development offering ownership as a fully managed investment, has released a phase of turnkey properties for sale priced from £115,000 to £245,000.
The resort, which is set a mile or two from the motorway between Perth and Dundee, is offering owners a secured income for the first year of ownership, a deal not found in any other rental market at the moment.
The two and three bedroomed lodges are supplied fully equipped and furnished, with a specification including spa baths, double walk-in showers, ensuite bedrooms with dressing areas, and spacious living areas with widescreen TVS and luxury fitted kitchens.
The lodges are
comfortable and warm throughout the winter.
Silverwood enjoys a full 12-month season, enabling the properties to be let out for up to 52 weeks of the year as an investment opportunity.
They can be fully managed by the Silverwood in-house lettings team, although of course owners can choose to spend time in the lodges themselves.
With its own trout loch, Silverwood is situated in picturesque scenery and will be opening its own bistro on site in spring next year.
Rod Sim, managing director, says: “With a number of interested parties already having logged their interest with us over the autumn, we are delighted to announce this launch of more luxury lodges.
“We now have everything in place to offer managed investment, with a tie up with Gourlay Events for the wedding market, and our own bistro to cater for 100 people coming soon.”
The Silverwood location has already proved popular with wedding guests as there are four popular venues nearby, while the recent opening of the V&A Dundee has brought renewed interest from the wider public in the area for short breaks.
