Dundee United Closing the gap

At times it wasn’t pretty but it was job done on Tuesday night with the three points banked narrowing the gap at the top of the table. Whilst United scored four goals, the energy and direct play of the Alloa forward line gave us some nervous moments and this is an area Robbie needs to look at reinforcing.

I’m not convinced the left-back position is covered and strangely we look susceptible to the simple ball over the top of the back four. However, I have faith the manager will deal with this and there is currently no arguing with his record. We now have ten days to get prepared for a big Friday night under the lights at Tannadice. The visit of Ayr has the feel of a top-of-thetable clash with a big marker waiting to be laid.
