Queen of the South Missing a leader
After coming back from three goals down to draw with Alloa earlier in the season, Queens reversed this outcome by throwing away a three-goal lead against Inverness. We really are a strange team this season.
For 70 minutes we were on course for arguably the best performance of Gary Naysmith’s reign. Some of the one-touch link-up play from our attackers was scintillating as we cut through an Inverness side unbeaten since March like butter. Clearly our visitors have forgotten how to lose during that run as they fought back brilliantly and could easily have pinched it as we collapsed near the end. We are desperately missing a leader at the back who can be the calming influence when the chips are down.
