‘NO THREAT’

Fergus Ewing told farmers there was absolutely no threat to payments following a Scottish Government decision not to sign up to the UK Agriculture Bill.

“While a suitably amended bill would provide a legal mechanism to make the payments, in the absence of this it would be a simple and routine measure to introduce such enabling legislation in Scotland,” he said.
