Security review after vandalism at Tory office
An MSP has called for a review of security measures at members’ homes after a man was arrested over broken windows at Ruth Davidson’s constituency office in Edinburgh.
Police confirmed they arrested a 54-year-old man in connection with vandalism at the premises yesterday morning.
There were no injuries, though staff were said to be shaken by the incident, which reportedly involved rocks being thrown at the office.
The Scottish Parliamentary Corporate Body, responsible for ensuring Parliament is provided with the property, services and staff it requires, took questions from members in Holyrood yesterday.
Scottish Labour MSP David Stewart asked if the SPCB would consider introducing measures to upgrade home security for members, if it was required.
