United push for new high school in Borders town

Borders politician­s have joined forces to campaign for a new high school in Hawick.

Westminste­r MP John Lamont and Holyrood MSP Rachael Hamilton have launched the campaign, which aims to bring about a new high school as soon as possible.

Scottish Borders Council agreed to create plans for schools in Galashiels, Hawick, Peebles and Selkirk in April, but an update is yet to materialis­e.
