Man behind Jewish bomb threats jailed
An Israeli court has sentenced the man behind a string of bomb threats against Jewish community centres in the United States to ten years in prison.
The Tel Aviv district court announced its verdict yesterday against the dual citizen hacker, whose name is barred for release since the crimes were committed while he was still a minor.
The case was uncovered last year after a transatlantic investigation with the FBI and other international law enforcement agencies.
The man, from the southern Israeli city of Ashkelon, suffers from autism. The case had stoked fears of rising anti-semitism.
