Brewdog takes wraps off pair of Scottish bars

- By SCOTT REID

Craft beer maker Brewdog has been busy again, launching two more bars in its home country this week.

The Ellon-based brewer was today set to open a venue in the centre of Perth, which will be the firm’s smallest bar to date.

It follows yesterday’s launch of a watering hole at the east end of the recently expanded terminal at Edinburgh Airport. Brewdog beer is already served on Easyjet, Tui and Flybe flights from the airport.

Commenting on the new airport bar, James Watt, Brewdog’s co-founder, said: “This is a Brewdog bar like no other. Not only can we introduce more beer drinkers to the power of craft beer than ever before, but we can turn the traditional airport beer experience into a vibrant hub of excitement and craft beer passion”

The latest openings grow the maverick brewery’s bar portfolio to 11 in Scotland, 39 in the UK as a whole, and 78 worldwide. Brewdog was founded in 2007.
