Handbag designer Rosie Gibson
What’s the last piece of clothing you bought?
A raincoat from Community Clothing. It feels good to support other British brands when I can.
What are you addicted to buying?
At the moment, it’s baby clothes. I’m expecting in February and am having so much fun building baby’s wardrobe. As they grow so quickly I’m trying to buy mostly pre-loved items, which will hopefully help to reduce our carbon footprint.
Best ever bargain?
A gorgeous black Ganni dress I found in Oxfam in London. It’s so versatile, I wear it all year round.
Who has great style?
Saoirse Ronan has a unique sense of style, and she always looks so comfortable in her own skin. Also, Françoise Hardy exudes timeless French style.
Name your favourite high
street shop.
John Lewis for their haberdashery, because I love to make and sew, though Glasgow and Edinburgh both have a great selection of independent sewing supply shops.
Any fashion disasters you’d care to tell us about?
Art college was a bit of an experimental time – I did a lot of up-cycling and customising. I remember one outfit of a black and red striped men’s shirt with patchworked jeans.
