Gove to warn of climate crisis

Urgent action is needed to tackle climate change and prepare for future extreme weather, the Environment Secretary is expected to warn. In a speech, Michael Gove will stress that the survival of the planet and humanity can only be safeguarded if scientific warnings are heeded more keenly.

His comments will come as the UK Climate Projections 2018 are launched today, marking the first major update of climate forecasts in nearly a decade.
