He will sit on the planning team and work across Scotland from its Edinburgh office. Formerly a director with JLL, Wallace specialises in strategic property consultancy. Andrew Munnis, Scottish planning partner at Montagu Evans, said: “This is an important appointment for the firm, signalling our commitment to growing the team both here in Scotland and south of the Border… Montagu Evans is already very well established in Scotland, with high profile planning projects including Quartermile, Waverley Mall and Glasgow Fort, and Craig will be a great addition to the team.”
● Independent Scottish law firm Morton Fraser is growing its medical negligence team by hiring senior solicitor Derek Couper, who joins from Shoosmiths. His arrival, and many of his clients having chosen to move with him, means Morton Fraser will be looking to help more clients seeking compensation in this area. Couper said: “The work I specialise in requires a lot of understanding and sensitivity, and the team at Morton Fraser demonstrate this in the work they do. I really look forward to bringing my existing clients to the firm as well as establishing and building new relationships.”
