Passengers left as train decouples
Passengers were left stranded in West Lothian last night after their train decoupled and sped off without them.
Scotrail customers were left waiting for about 45 minutes after discovering they had been left without a driver or ticket staff at Uphall.
The train’s rear three carriages are believed to have been left behind. Passenger Shauna Rafferty tweeted: “No driver, no staff, had to hit the emergency release to get the doors open so we could get off. No word from @Scotrail, absolute shambles!”
