I think the only area where Scotland could increase employment opportunities is in the tourism industry, the industry the SNP is trying to nurture and grow. In Edinburgh this seems to be working but strangely many of the people you encounter in these jobs are not Scottish. Maybe unemployed Scots people think a hotel or restaurant job beneath them.
