Auld Reekie The big problem is a lack of jobs for unskilled and semi-skilled people in all of Europe. I think the only area where Scotland could increase employment opportunit­ies is in the tourism industry, the industry the SNP is trying to nurture and grow. In Edinburgh this seems to be working but strangely many of the people you encounter in these jobs are not Scottish. Maybe unemployed Scots people think a hotel or restaurant job beneath them.

Change the record. These neverendin­g grievances from the SNP are getting tiresome. Scotland has not been sidelined. It is a UK deal and Scotland is part of the UK. There could be an argument that the SNP have been sidelined, but that is of their own making with their industrial grievances
