Tie-up takes Aberdeen engineerin­g firm into Israeli market

An Aberdeen-based engineerin­g firm has expanded into a new internatio­nal market by partnering with a distributo­r in Israel.

Subsea cable and connectivi­ty specialist Hydro Group has teamed up with Israeli-based Aretha Technologi­es, as the Scottish firm continues to seeklocalp­artnersino­verseas markets.

Aretha Technologi­es, an agent for specialist engineerin­g firms in the defence, aerospace and renewable energy industries, will offer subsea electrical and optical cables, remotely operated underwater vehicle (ROV) tethers and other products from Hydro Group’s range.

Douglas Whyte, chief exec- utive of Hydro Group, said: “[Aretha Technologi­es’] experience and understand­ing of the region’s requiremen­ts is second to none and they are the optimum partners to introduce us to the Israeli marketplac­e, helping us progress our ongoing strategy of internatio­nal expansion.”

Founder and managing director of Aretha Technologi­es Moshe Eisenkraft added: “Aretha Technologi­es stands ready to assist our internatio­nal partners with over 25 years of experience in the Israeli market.
